Tourists (and residents) can visit some of the smaller islands, scattered around the edges of East and West Falkland, many of which are home only to flora and fauna with a low or no human presence. These include Sea Lion island (www.sealionisland.com), Bleaker Island (www.bleakerisland.com), Pebble Island (www.pebblelodge.com), Weddell Island (www.weddellisland.com) and Saunders Island (www.saundersfalklands.com).

Falkland Islands Government Air Service (FIGAS) passenger plane touches down safely on New Island despite cross winds.
